A Child Shall Lead Them Food Pantry was started in 1992 by Youth from Tazewell Presbyterian, Tazewell Christian and Stras Memorial Episcopal churches. The hours are from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM Monday – Friday. Those seeking assistance must bring proof of income and if guidelines are met can receive assistance of food once a month. The Food Pantry is supported by TPC and many area churches, organizations and individuals supplying funds and food.

Community Thanksgiving Service, sponsored by the Tazewell Ministerial Association is held at a different church each year the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Offerings go to the Ministerial Association to aid those in need in our community.

Easter Sunrise Service / Breakfast is a collaborative time of worship and fellowship of the Main Street United Methodist Church (MSUMC) and Tazewell Presbyterian Church. The sunrise service is held (weather permitting) outdoors in front of Chapman House (rear of MSUMC) followed by a full hot breakfast prepared by the men of both churches.

Festival of Hymns – An annual event combining the choirs of TPC and Main Street United Methodist Church to lead a service of congregational hymn-singing with added accompaniment by music students from Southwest Virginia Community College. Instruments include brass, woodwind, piano, and percussion. A love offering is taken to support the Sacred Recital Series at the Community College.

Holy Week Services, sponsored by the Tazewell Ministerial Association, are held Monday – Wednesday of Holy Week at a different church each year near Main Street. Services are held at 12:00 noon followed by a luncheon served by different churches each day. This is to enable those who work to have a chance to worship, eat, and fellowship during their lunch break. The offerings received go to the Ministerial Association to aid those in need in our community.

Sacred Recital Series at SVCC is a musical opportunity which Tazewell Presbyterian Church supports by encouraging participation, providing transportation and donating a love offering from the Festival of Hymns.

Tazewell Presbyterian Community Outreach is a monthly luncheon with a program, designed to reach area Senior Citizens including church members. It provides food for the body and soul, along with love and tenderness in a manner that preserves the worth and dignity of each participant. Also, lunches are delivered to church members who are homebound.

World Day of Prayer is an international day of worship and prayer in May where Tazewell Presbyterian Church joins hands with other local churches of varying denominations.
