Church Fellowship

Annual Worship and Picnic – is held in August at the Historic Crab Orchard Museum. Worship is held in the outdoor amphitheater with a covered dish lunch to follow in the picnic area adjacent to the Red Barn.

Greening of the Church – held at the beginning of Advent. Crafts are set up for the children in the fellowship hall while the adults green the church by hanging garland and wreaths plus decorate the tree.

Circle – We have one circle that meets monthly. For more information check out the Adult Ministries page

Outreach – is a monthly luncheon with a program, designed to reach area Senior Citizens including church members. It provides food for the body and soul, along with love and tenderness in a manner that preserves the worth and dignity of each participant. Also, lunches are delivered to church members who are homebound.

Chancel and Handbell Choirs The Chancel choir typically rehearses weekly and takes part in the Sunday morning worship service throughout the year. It is comprised mostly of adults but welcomes middle and high school youth. The Handbell Choir typically rehearses weekly during the school year and participates in special programs and Sunday worship on a varying schedule. Youth may participate.

Easter Sunrise / Breakfast is a collaborative time of worship and fellowship of the Main Street United Methodist Church (MSUMC) and Tazewell Presbyterian Church. The sunrise service is held (weather permitting) outdoors either in front of Chapman House (rear of MSUMC) or at TPC and is followed by a breakfast prepared by the men of both churches.  Depending on the year, one church hosts the service, and the other hosts the meal.

Senior Citizen Trips An occasional day trip planned to nearby locations or attractions for fellowship and fun.
